10 May 2022 -- CAPE COD, MA -- Weighing in between 88,000-150,000 lbs. the North Atlantic Right Whales are one of the largest animals on the planet. They bring their majesty to Cape Cod Bay every year from January to May. This critically endangered species may be headed towards functional extinction within our lifetime. Center for Coastal Studies, Dr. Charles "Stormy" Mayo, the director of the North Atlantic right whale program explains the plight of these animals as well as their somewhat unusual behavior in the Bay this year.
